What an amazing achievement!
Aiden is setting himself the target of running a mile every day in May to try to raise £100 which we will donate to Spirit Aid, who do amazing work all year round for people and families in need across Glasgow – but have a special appeal just now because of the current circumstances.
All donations big and small will be very much appreciated and money raised will go towards food parcels. We will track his run daily and make updates on here and Facebook.
Thank you for supporting, Megan & Aiden xx
More on Spirit Aid below…
In normal circumstances, Spirit Aid has a lot of demands on our resources and our volunteer but the volume of requests for help we are receiving during the current COVID-19 crisis is unprecedented. There is no way to sugar coat it. We need your help… we need your money. As a charity, we will always try to help those who truly need it but there will come a point where we will be unable to. All of our fundraising activity, including the Kiltwalk, has been cancelled. We have no way of raising any income to support our work from the usual routes we fundraise.Spirit Aid, along with other charities like the Clutha Trust, act as a help hub for many other small charities, providing them with food, clothing and financial assistance when required. We need your help to make sure that we can continue to support those in our society that need it most.If you are in a position to make a donation, no matter how small, that donation will make a huge difference to so many.
